Luis de la Aguilera

Mr. Luis de la Aguilera is President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and a member of the board of directors at U.S. Century Bank.    He began his banking career in 1982 at City National Bank of Miami and later went on to serve as Vice President and Commercial Lender at Republic National Bank; Senior Vice President of Corporate Banking and Assistant Branch Administrator at Ocean Bank; and President, CEO and Director at TotalBank.     He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981 from the University of Miami with a major in English literature, and minors in history and business administration.

De la Aguilera is on the board of directors of the Florida Bankers Association and Christopher Columbus High School, his alma mater. He is also on the advisory board of the school’s award-winning news program.  In addition, de la Aguilera serves on the local volunteer board of the American Cancer Society and on the visiting committee at the University of Miami’s College of Arts and Sciences.

For the past five years he has been involved with “Castaways Against Cancer,” a local charity whose mission is to help find a cure for cancer.   In doing so, he kayaks 160 miles from Miami to Key West and has raised record amounts of money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.    He is serving Sebastian Strong because as a father of two girls, he never takes for granted how cancer can change a family’s life and wants to support those children and families who battle this disease until a cure is found.
